HWF.org names MoMentum Companies as Sponsor Spotlight .

“When people come in from out of town, looking to move their family or business, we start by taking them on a walkabout, exploring the Riverwalk and neighborhood streets. They fall in love with the character of our city’s old homes, the cobblestone streets, the live oaks and Spanish moss. And the icing on the cake is our community, the friendly and welcoming residents and business owners.”

On a personal level, Terry has a passion for history; she loves living and working in a city with an old soul. On a business level, she supports historic preservation because she sees how it is a direct economic driver for our community. Although these are uncertain times, Terry wanted to share a message of hope. MoMentum is currently working with three new restaurants, all working to open downtown: “They see the light at the end of the tunnel, and they want to invest in their future, right here in Wilmington.”

Take, for example, Floriana Restaurant. When Terry first took the owners on a tour of the city, she remembers their response:
Even in the middle of the shutdown, they opened their doors, giving away hundreds of meals to first responders and medical workers. They haven’t been here long, but Terry says that they immediately understood that this was simply how Wilmington operates, that it’s about community. Terry is proud to foster the preservation and reuse of our city’s historic buildings, both through her work and sponsorship of Historic Wilmington Foundation!
